Part 2: Preparing the ISO!

Download the Correct Bazzite ISO

Flashing the ISO (Making the USB Installer)

Now that you have the correct Bazzite ISO downloaded, we’re going to turn your USB stick into a bootable installer. This is way easier than it sounds.

Common Problems (During ISO Prep Only)

• “Etcher won’t detect my USB”

Cause: Windows being Windows.
Fix: Unplug the USB, replug it, restart Etcher. If it still ghosts you, the USB might be dying or write-protected.

• “Rufus is giving me scary warnings”

Cause: Rufus loves drama.
Fix: Double-check you picked the right USB drive, then click OK. Unplug any extra drives if you’re paranoid.

• “The ISO won’t flash / keeps failing”

• “Etcher says ‘permission denied’ or ‘something went wrong’”

Cause: Admin rights not cooperating.
Fix: Fully close Etcher and reopen as Administrator.

• “My USB looks weird after flashing”

Cause: That’s actually normal.
Fix: If you see lots of random system folders, do not delete them. That means the flash worked correctly.

• “The USB boots to nothing / still boots Windows”
